We’re thrilled to announce that Peyton Snyder, our Reconnect Transylvania+ scholar, has arrived in Kolozsvár/Cluj! Peyton is a fourth-generation Hungarian-American from Florida, with a passion for Central and Eastern European history. He recently completed his degree in history, focusing on modern Europe at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

During his 10-month stay, Peyton will share his first-hand experiences in the „City of Treasures” and beyond. With a deep interest in minority and language rights, he looks forward to collaborating with HHRF and our partners to advocate for the Hungarian community in Romania.

As a dedicated student of languages, Peyton is excited to dive into Hungarian and immerse himself in the culture and history of the region. Stay tuned for his updates as he embarks on this incredible journey!
